From Setback to Strength
The Quiet Wound
No one teaches you how to live when your father is absent or emotionally unavailable. You just learn how to keep going. I did what many of us do—I showed up, smiled, and told myself I was fine, all while carrying a quiet ache I didn’t know how to name.
That rejection settled in deeper than I realized. It shaped how I showed up in friendships, relationships, and the way I saw myself. I learned to guard my heart, believing that if I tried harder, pleased more, or proved myself enough, I might finally feel worthy.
When God Interrupted the Silence
God has a way of meeting us in the places we avoid. For me, it came when I could no longer outrun the pain. I stopped pretending. I faced the hurt. And I placed the wounds I had carried for years into His hands.
That’s when faith became more than something I believed. It became what held me steady. What redefined me. What set me free.
Where I Stand Now
Today, I live rooted in a truth I didn’t always know: rejection does not get the final word. God does. Healing is possible. Identity can be restored. And strength can rise from places that once felt broken.
This space exists for women who know this wound and are ready to stop carrying it alone. Not to erase the past—but to live free from its power.
